Funeral services for Casey Lynn Phillips Polk, age 25, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Lake Fork Baptist Church with Elder Troy Phillips and Elder Bryce Lowrance officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Casey passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 in Midland, TX.

 

Casey Lynn Phillips Polk was born December 12, 1991 in Longview, Texas to Troy Wayne Phillips and Theresa (Baugh) Phillips. She graduated from Winnsboro High School and held a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Texas A&M – Commerce. She married Kyle Polk in Winnsboro on December 22, 2012. Casey worked at Rains High School for four years and had recently moved to Gardendale, Texas to teach special education at Bynum School. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs and a former member of Temple Primitive Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA.

 

Casey is survived by: her husband, Kyle Polk of Sulphur Springs; parents, Troy and Theresa Phillips of Winnsboro; sister, Courtney Phillips of Winnsboro; grandmother, Lynda Phillips of Winnsboro; grandfather, Garland Baugh of Pittsburgh; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kilan and Karen Polk of Sulphur Springs; brother-in-law, Kody Polk; grandfather-in-law and grandmother-in-law, Byron and Gaylia Polk, Randy and Carolyn Millsap and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and students.

 

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wayne “Papa” Phillips and grandmother, Charlotte “Meme” Bough.

 

Memorials can be made to Bynum School, PO Box 80175, Midland, TX 79708.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
