New Brookshire’s Secret Shopper Scam Reported by Hopkins County Law Enforcement Association

Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office has received information of a scam involving the lure of money in exchange for shopping at Brookshires. The suspects send a check and would like you to cash it. However, you need to return a large portion of the check to them. Only to find out later the check is fraudulent.
Please watch out for this or other scams that are similar. Many scams with all different types of stories revolve around the receiving a check, cashing it, and returning a large portion back to the suspects.
