Galentine’s Day

Galentine’s Day
  • PublishedFebruary 12, 2024

Valentine’s Day is next week and is undoubtedly the most divided holiday there is. Some love to spend this special day with their loved ones and often shower their partner with flowers and chocolates. While others say that Valentine’s Day is useless whether you are in a relationship or not.

However, the girls have come up with a solution for all the girls to feel the love on Love Day and it is called “Galentine’s Day”. Galentine’s Day is an all-girls Valentine’s Day where girls celebrate with all the amazing things Valentine’s Day encompasses without the awkward pressure of a date.

Galentine’s Day is typically full of lots of pinks, junk food, bubbly, and of course all your best girlfriends around for the “appropriate” amount of gossip spilling. The great thing about this holiday is that it can be as extravagant or as laid back as you want. Some of the best Galentine’s days, in my opinion, happen in pj’s with a store-bought cake and a cheesy romance movie to watch with my girls.

But if you want to throw the ultimate Galentine’s Day party for your girls here are a few steps to make it the most memorable holiday of the year.

First: Get your gals and say “bye-bye” to the boys for the night.

Two: Decorate! Galentine’s is all about the aesthetic, amazon has a great selection of décor themed for the perfect girl’s night.

Three: Booze and food; themed drinks and food are the perfect add-in to the night. Many sources suggest that each girl brings their own themed dish for the night.

Four: Tunes and Flicks; During the festivities the perfect playlist full of female artists’ best hits is essential. Including ABBA, Taylor Swift, and the Spice Girls of course. Then, after all the festivities the perfect chick flick to end the night could include: 13 Going On 30, Miss Congeniality, Dirty Dancing, How to Lose A Guy In 10 Days, or any of your favorite girl boss movies.

Creating the perfect night for your girls is such a great way to celebrate girlhood. So, this Valentine’s Day put a new spin on this divided holiday and make it a fun, memorable night for your girls to look back on all year long.
