Funeral service for Neoma Jean (Stapp) Argenbright, age 99, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at League Street Church of Christ with Jerry Savage and Kirk Reams officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Brian Argenbright, Brad Argenbright, Chad Argenbright, Corey Argenbright, Sonny Dawdy and Jacob Reams serving as pallbearers. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home from 6-8 pm. Mrs. Argenbright passed away at Hopkins Court on Monday, December 18, 2023.

 

Neoma Jean was born in Nelta, TX on October 25, 1924 to Tom and Mary (Davidson) Stapp. She married Gwyneth Windell Argenbright on August 15, 1942 in Sulphur Springs. Neoma owned a Sandwich and Ice Cream Shop called Candy and Cones. She was a member of Herman Bowling League, the League Street Church of Christ where she was a founder of the clothing room. Most of all she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

 

She is survived by her children, Larry Argenbright and wife, Rhonda, Barbara Dawdy, Lucretia Pool and husband, Jackie, Danny Argenbright and wife, Donna; grandchildren, Brian Argenbright, Brad Argenbright and wife, Jeanette, Lisa Argenbright-Seymore, Sonny Dawdy and wife, Glenda, Kirk Reams and wife, Amanda, Jacob Reams and wife, April, Chad Argenbright and wife, Kara, Candy Argenbright, Corey Argenbright; great-grandchildren, Holli Willis and husband, Rickie, Coltin Argenbright and wife, Chasity, Cade Argenbright, Brennon Seymore, Ashley Polley and husband, Austin, Garrett Reams and wife, Emily, Grayson Reams, Coleman Massey, Clayton Massey, Lucky Massey, Danni Massey, Kaden Argenbright, Corbin Argenbright, Payton Argenbright; great-great-grandchildren, Brady and Brody Willis, Bentley and Rilynn Argenbright, Pyper, Paisley, Hagan Georgia Polley, Stoney and Sophie Massey.

 

Neoma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gwyneth; her parents, Tom and Mary Stapp; son, Danny Argenbright; grandchild, David Brent Argenbright; two great grands, Christian Dawdy and Barbara Jean Dawdy; sister, Nell Jackson and son-in-law, George Dawdy.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
