Obituary for Michael Cleaver
A family-led graveside inurnment for Michael Cleaver, age 51, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Sulphur Bluff Cemetery with Pastor Phil Meadows officiating. Mr. Cleaver passed away on November 30, 2023, at Medical City in Dallas, Texas.
Michael was born to Gerry Cleaver and Aundrea (Hoover) Merrell on July 11, 1972, in Garland, Texas. After graduating high school, he went on to serve in the U.S. Army and work as a machinist. He loved to spend his free time hunting, fishing, playing guitar, and most of all spending time with his son, Aiden, playing video games.
He is survived by his son Aiden Cleaver and his mother Aundrea Merrell; grandparents Wm Roe and Cletus Cleaver; step brothers Doug Merrell and Tim Merrell; stepmom Dana Stonaker; paternal aunt Laura Sorrells and husband Bill, and cousins Stan Chambers and Vanessa Krodell; uncle Kenneth Cleaver and wife Cyndi, cousins Melody Dowlearn and Kyle Cleaver; maternal aunt Brenda Cooper and husband Cliff, cousins Tim Cooper and Matt Cooper; and dear friends Gelena Cleaver, and Will Ward.
Preceded in death by his father Gerry Cleaver, grandparents J.W. and Jackie Hoover, and stepfather Paul Merrell.
