Lady Eagles Ready For State Semifinal

It’s been an incredible run for the Como-Pickton Lady Eagles, and Tuesday they will look to continue to add to that, when they take on Stamford in the State Semifinal. Now at the State Tournament, the best-of-three series’ are out the window and every team will have to hope to bring their best game in a one-game format.
The Lady Eagles enter the match with a State-best record of 37-2, and a winning streak of 26 games, dating all the way back to March 4, when they fell to Franklin, who finished the season ranked No. 5 in 3A. Como-Pickton has also been unstoppable in the postseason, going 8-0 and outscoring their opponents 63-6.
Most recently their coming off a two-game sweep of Shelbyville in the Regional Final, beating them 14-1 and 4-0.
The Lady Eagles will have their hands full Tuesday night, when they go up against Stamford, who has a record of 27-6-1 on the season. Tuesday’s State Semifinal is set for 7 p.m.
