Inspired by a Czech art exhibit, the city installed the two bathrooms on their downtown square in 2012 under city manager Marc Maxwell. Everything about the bathrooms says modernity. They are ADA compliant and handicap accessible, and because they are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, they are available to anyone who needs to use the restroom, whether you’re a weary traveler or a local out for a stroll.
Before the glass bathrooms were built, there were very few restrooms available in the vicinity, which made it difficult for travelers to take a break and use the facilities. The glass bathrooms have not only solved that problem, but they have also become a point of pride for the community.
