Visitation for Elmer Brooks, age 86 of Sulphur Springs, Tx will be held from 5:00 to 7:00P.M. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Brooks passed away on January 30, 2022 at Christus Mother Frances – Sulphur Springs.
Elmer was born on July 23, 1935 in Ripley, IL to George William and Ada Mae (Fretueg) Brooks. He married Lillie Mae Brooks on January 16, 1959 in St Louis, Missouri. Elmer was a veteran of the United States Marine. He was a retired truck driver. Elmer was a man of the Christian Faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Clark and husband, Terry; sons, Michael Brooks and wife, Helen, David Brooks and Roger Brooks; grandchildren, Mathews Brooks, Joseph Clark, Dianna Holt, Tylar Brooks and Brett Brooks; great grandchildren, Kayden Cummings, Morgan Holt, Ember Clark and Jonin Clara.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lillie; one son, John Brooks; sisters, Leona Kirgan, Mae Hawk and Helen McClung; brothers, Everett Brooks, Dwight Brooks and Lawrence Brooks.
