Lady Hornets win big on the road

The Miller Grove Lady Hornets traveled to Campbell Tuesday, looking to pick up another win on the road.
The game started with a very low scoring first quarter, with neither team able to find any offense. Despite the low scoring opening frame, Miller Grove stayed on top, leading 5-3 going into the second quarter.
In the second quarter the Lady Hornets took their game to the next level, having their highest scoring frame of the game, scoring 16 points in the quarter. Not only did they have their highest scoring frame of the night, they also held Campbell to just two points, leading 21-5 at the end of the first half.

Miller Grove opened the second half with another huge frame, once again scoring in bunches. While Campbell had a better scoring quarter as well, the Lady Hornets led 37-12 at the end of the third quarter.
Entering the final frame, Miller Grove was able to take their foot off the gas a bit, as they cruised to an easy 49-21 win.
Lainy Burnett was the leading scorer for the Lady Hornets, almost scoring as many points as Campbell by herself, finishing with 18 points. Jaci Roberson and Anna Culberson were next with eight points each. The two combined to go 4-4 from the free throw line.
Just behind them were Paige Neidhart and Allissa Sallee who had seven points and six points respectively.
