Businesses in Hopkins County are allowed to increase capacity to 75% now that Trauma Service Area F had a daily COVID-19 hospitalization rate that was less than 15 percent of its hospitals’ total capacity for seven straight days. Bars are allowed to open and elective surgeries may resume.

Counties included in Trauma Service Area F include Lamar, Delta, Hopkins, Red River, Titus, Morris, Bowie, and Cass.

Governor Greg Abbott announced on September 17th that counties were allowed to reopen businesses to 75 percent capacity and resume elective surgeries. Bars were allowed to reopen at 50 percent capacity.  But counties in Trauma Service Areas with over 15 percent COVID-19 hospitalizations for seven consecutive days would be reduced to the previous limits.

To go back to 75 percent capacity, the rate needs to be below 15 percent for seven-straight days.

The restrictions had been rolled back in Hopkins County and the rest of Trauma Service Area F as of January 2nd.
