Graveside service for Harvey Morris, age 80, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Prairie Valley Cemetery. Mr. Morrispassed awayFriday, July 14, 2017, at Trinity Mother Francis in Tyler, TX. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home, Sulphur Springs, TX.
Harvey Joe Morris was born on February 23, 1937 in Lone Oak, Texas, the son of Joseph Dale and Willie (Belgner) Morris. He married Mary (Brodie) Morris on April 25, 1964 in Hugo, Oklahoma. Harvey was a retired Plant Manager and of the Baptist Faith. Harvey also served in the Army and was a State Trooper.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Harvey Greig Morris and wife Julie; daughters, Carla Jones and husband, Monte, Shelly Anderson and husband, Greg, and Missy Morris; grandchildren, Ryann Cordova, Kady Bullock, Stoney Jones, Nichole Hale, BrittnayMeinzer, Hannah Anderson, Jake Anderson, Summer Mears and Colin Mears; 14 great grandchildren.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Money, Reba Dooley, Lu Ann Pendleton and brother, JD Morris.
