  • PublishedJune 7, 2024

Summer is here, and it’s the perfect time for young aspiring athletes to put in the extra work to improve their game. Luckily for young future Wildcats, former Sulphur Springs Wildcat and current Central Oklahoma Broncho C.J. Williams will be hosting a youth football camp, for young players looking to put in some extra work and to learn from a player who’s currently at the level they may be aspiring to get to.

Williams had an excellent career in his three years on varsity, improving every single year and being a great representation of what it means to be a Sulphur Springs Wildcat. Being a dynamic threat who could both run and catch the ball at a high level, Williams finished his career with over 2,000 total yards and 25 career touchdowns.

His hard work and on-field success paid off, giving him the opportunity to take his talents to the next level. Now entering his redshirt sophomore season at Central Oklahoma University, Williams will look to make the same contributions on Saturday’s that he made under the Friday Night Light’s.

His athleticism, on-field IQ and versatility make Williams a player who can play multiple positions and contribute to his team in multiple ways. That same skill set makes him the perfect player to teach young players who are wanting to work on their game, and he will do exactly that by hosting a youth football camp.

CJ Williams Youth Football Camp will be help Sunday, June 30th at Gerald Prim Stadium for young players all the way from 1st Grade to 12th Grade. The camp will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Don’t miss out on your opportunity to work with a local great talent. Athletes can register here with this link, or by using the QR code in the graphic below. The registration fee is $25 and includes a camp t-shirt.

“I’m super excited to return to Sulphur Springs and give back to the community that supported me throughout my years as a Sulphur Springs Wildcat,” Williams said. “Just as Tyrik Rollison and Keenan Clayton did for me.”

“A big thank you to Coach Faircloth for providing the stadium. These young athletes will truly appreciate the opportunity to come out at Gerald Prim Stadium,” Williams added. “I also want to thank Chad’s Media for their support and coverage.”
