Betty Sue Marshall, age 90, of The Rio Grande Valley, was born on August 29, 1933 in Kerens, TX to Wallace and Katherine (Darby) Patterson. Betty enjoyed working as a bookkeeper for many years and owned a Travel Agency. She was happily married to Dick Marshall until his passing. Betty loved to paint and created many pieces of art that will be cherished for years to come. She loved to travel and was fortunate to be able to travel to many places over the years. Mrs. Marshall passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in Sulphur Springs, TX. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the family plot in Donna, TX.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Kristy Johnson (Brad) of Sulphur Springs, TX, son, Mike Marshall (Katy) of Concan, TX, grandchildren, Darby Brennan (Jeff) of Sugarland, TX, DeAnna Doles (Matt) of Texarkana, TX, Danielle Cooksey (Hunter), Sulphur Springs, TX, Michael Marshall (Jamie) of Victoria, TX, Ben Marshall (Jessica), Rogers, AR, Travis Marshall (Allison) of Houston, TX; Eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Pat Graf (Charles) of College Station, TX and Debbie Meredith of San Antonio, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Katherine Patterson; husband, Dick Marshall; sons, Tommy Marshall and Pete Marshall; and sister, Sandy Jackson

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of the Carriage House Manor for the loving care, kindness and compassion provided. We are truly grateful for all that you do.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
