Obituary for Laquita Howle

Laquita Gay Stanley Howle, age 61, of Sulphur Springs, passed peacefully at her home on December 24, 2023. She was born August 30, 1962 in Ft. Worth, TX to William Cardell Stanley, Sr and Hettie Ellen (Crowley) Stanley. She was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers, Dan and Cory Stanley; and sister, Joyce Miller.

Laquita is survived by her husband, Glen Howle. They were devoted to each other for 15 years and were married on January 2, 2021. Laquita is also survived by her three girls, Amanda Carney of Gladewater, Amy Parker and husband, Jay, of Tulsa, OK, Sandi Garrett and, husband, Jeremy of Marshall. Brothers, Junior Stanley, and wife Carolyn, Terry Stanley and wife Joan; and sister, Sharon Hanson ; along with many nieces and nephews.

 

Laquita cherished being a mom to her girls, but her favorite title was “Nana”. Michael, Jackson, Abigail, Wyatt, William, Hadley, Jordan, and Audrey were loved unconditionally by their Nana. She took pride in teaching her grandbabies many life lessons. Laquita had a special bond with each one of her sweet babies that filled her heart and will be her lasting legacy.

 

Laquita was a faithful servant to God and devout Christian. She was a homemaker, a crafter, a nature watcher, and enjoyed loving her feline companion, Jasper. She was her family’s biggest cheerleader, always ready with a supportive talk and listening ear. She loved laughter and made a lasting impression on many.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Laquita.
