Tina Young Sworn In As 25th Postmaster For Sulphur Springs
  • PublishedAugust 21, 2023

On Friday, August 18, 2023, Tina Young was officially sworn in as the 25th Postmaster of Sulphur Springs, Texas. Those who work with Tina and her daughter, approached the stand and said many thoughtful things to and about her. For example, Chris Miles from USPS sales service associate said, “…she continues to change hearts in the Post Office, and I am proud to call her my Postermaster.” Marc Maxwell also had minutes worth of incredible things about Tina and the HUGE heart she has for our community. Tina Young is the first African-American woman to be Postermaster in Sulphur Springs. She will also be taking over Como, Dike, and Sulphur Bluff.  Tina then took the stand, and personally thanked everyone in her life that has helped motivate her to achieve this amazing accomplishment in her life. She strives to make a difference in our community, and strives for everyone to notice it as well. “It breaks my heart to hear that our Mayor never met the past Postmaster. I want everyone to know right now, that my door is always open.” From the bottom of our hearts, congratulations Tina. We are excited to see the change you will bring to our town.
