Graveside service will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 2:00pm at Reilly Springs Cemetery with family and friends gathering after at the Reilly Springs community center. Leathia M. Fayard Williams 81 passed away July 8th in Glenpool Oklahoma. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.

 

Leathia was born September 12, 1941 in Biloxi Mississippi to Leonard Fayard and Edna Garcia Fayard. She moved to Reilly Springs with her son Robert Vance in 1965. She married Jessie Williams in March 1966. Leathia was a homemaker taking care of the children and managing the home. She worked alongside her husband for many years growing produce. She loved to crochet and was an excellent quilter. Leathia was a member of the Reilly Springs quilters guild. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret and her husband Jason Smith; sons, Robert Vance and wife Glenda, James Williams and Wife, Nancy both of Yantis Tx; brother, Gary Fayard and wife, Wanda of Mississippi; grandchildren, Valerie Smith, Brandon Swaim, Justin Smith, Jessica Mcarty and Jessie Williams, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband Jessie, Mother, Edna, her father Leonard, Step-father Willis Whitehead, Brothers Ralf and Robert Fayard of Mississippi, sisters Virginia Olson of Mississippi and Nathalie Corley of Yantis Tx.

 

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Reilly Springs community center.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
