Sulphur Springs’ Food Truck Phenomenon: Unique Culinary Experiences Await!

Sulphur Springs provides so many ways to enjoy good food, including a multitude of unique food trucks. From American homestyle cooking to Asian and Latin cuisine the choices are endless. The presence of food trucks has developed from maybe one or two– to over a dozen in the last few years. Businesses have instituted the use of food trucks in event planning as a form of catering. Sulphur Springs High School puts several food trucks on display for Food Truck Friday preceding home football games.

Located all over town, food trucks are the perfect stop for a quick meal, however, the new location of the Railyard offers more of an outdoor dining experience. The Railyard is home to Taqueria Cabrera offering tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and more, and Jenโ€™s Kitchen which is Korean cuisine including many traditional Korean dishes. Then, following the great food is the Shave Shop for colorful and tasty sno cones.

Tori Owsley, the owner of Honest to Goodness, a food truck located in Sulphur Springs said, โ€œThe best part would be getting people to try food that they wish we had closer to Sulphur Springs or even a taste of home that they miss.โ€ The idea behind food trucks is to experience traditional food in a non-traditional way and with the growing popularity of them in the county now is a great time to support these local businesses and try their tasty food.
