Obituary for Morris Brown
Funeral service for Morris Wayne Brown, age 86 of Oak Point, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Bro John Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow at Greenpond Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Brown passed away on July 4, 2023 at T. Boone Pickens Center in Dallas.
Morris was born on July 7, 1936 in Bradley, Arkansas to William Lloyd and Winnie Lee (Hammock) Brown. He married Judy Gail Bowen in 1961 and they were married for 43 years. Morris was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served post Korean War. He later worked as an HR director. Morris was a member of the Crossridge Church of Little Elm.
He is survived by his sons, Matthew Brown, Jason Brown, and Doug Brown; grandchildren, Devon Brown, Madison Brown, Whitney Vicars and Berkley Witherspoon; great grandchildren, Peyton Vicars and Caroline Vicars; sister, Peggy Lunger.
Morris was preceded in death by his sisters, Katherine Horton and Judy Harrison; brother, Harold Brown and his wife Judy Brown.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
