Lady Eagles Ready For Regional Quarterfinal

Lady Eagles Ready For Regional Quarterfinal
  • PublishedMay 11, 2023

The No. 2 ranked Como-Pickton Lady Eagles have continued their dominant run into the postseason, and Thursday they’ll have the chance to keep it rolling into the Regional Quarterfinals, when they begin their best-of-three set against Harleton.

Harleton will be a new opponent for the 32-2 Lady Eagles, though they will look to keep their winning streak going regardless. Through the first two rounds Como-Pickton has plated 17 runs while allowing just one.

The Lady Cats from Harleton reach the Regional Quarterfinals after a tough one-game set against Kernes. Harleton was able to pull out a close 4-3 win, after beating Detroit 9-4 and 13-1 in the opening round.

Game One of the set is scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday at Winnsboro. The two teams will turn around and meet again Friday for Game Two, back at Winnsboro at 6 p.m.

Game Three, if needed, will be Monday at Winnsboro at 6 p.m., giving the two teams the chance to rest over the weekend. Stay tuned to Front Porch News for coverage of the Regional Quarterfinals round.
