Louis Eddie Buchanan, 68, died unexpectedly on September 23, 2022.

Born on February 13, 1954, and raised in Sulphur Springs, Louis was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Sulphur Springs High school in 1972 and studied at East Texas State University, now Texas A&M University – Commerce. He worked as a machinist for Rockwell International for many years. Louis was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law: John and Patricia Buchanan; two nieces: Allison Buchanan and Madison Hernandez; two nephews: Matthew Buchanan and Andrew Buchanan and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents: JL and Susie Buchanan; paternal grandparents: John and Kate Buchanan; and maternal grandparents: Ed and Una Cain.

A graveside celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 11 am at City Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
