Funeral service for Charlie George, age 80 of Pickton, Texas will be held at 2:00P.M. on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home at 876 Wildcat Way in Sulphur Springs with Parker Cummings and Jackie Culpepper officiating. Interment will follow at Winterfield Cemetery with Joshua Taylor, Justin McComb, Brad Flues, JJ Cummings, Parker Cummings, Dallin Horton, Brent Horton and Blake Cummings serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Charles “Charlie” Robert George, 80, of Pickton, Texas passed away on October 23, 2022 at UT Health Tyler. Charlie was born in the Charleston community, Cooper, Texas on February 10, 1942 to Blaine “Jelly” and Margaret George. Charlie was an electrician at Brown & Root. Charlie enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends. He was a 1950 graduate of Como High School. He is preceded by death by his parents, Blaine and Margaret George, his sister Sandra George, and brothers-in-law Jimmy Cummings and James Shelton.

He is survived by his wife Kathy Cummings George, who he was married to for 59 years, daughters Tina McComb, and son-in-law Glenn, daughter Rita Taylor and Brad, grandchildren, Josh Taylor, Ashley McComb, and Justin McComb, great grandchildren, Makenzie Taylor, Ashlynn Barr, Kimberly and Jaxson Taylor, Haley and Kaden McComb, sister Peggy Shelton, and sister-in-law Hilda Brumley Cummings and brother-in-law Eddie Cummings and his wife Donna; brother, Bobby George and wife, Cathy.

In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions can be made to Winterfield Baptist Church Cemetery.
