If you’re anything like us then you love everything fall, autumn, and Halloween. Here’s a list we’ve put together of local pumpkin patches, trunk or treats and other fall fun activities to get you in the October mood! 

  • October: Hay Bale Contestants displayed all over town during the month of October. More than 20 businesses and individuals are participating in this Hopkins County tradition! More info: 
  • October: Moore family pumpkin patch every weekend until Halloween. Hours Friday 2-8, Saturday 10-8 and Sunday 10-5. Pumpkin picking, pirate ship, hay rides, barrel trains and more! Adults $7, children $5 12052 TX-154, Yantis, TX
  • October: Terror Trail. For those who love spooks and frights and bumps in the night, the Terror Trail is open this year! Every Friday and Saturday night in October and Halloween night. Opening night is September 30, trails open from sunset until midnight. Admission: $10.00 Adults – $8.00 under 13 at 1085 Co Rd 1960, Yantis, TX 75497
  • October: Winnsboro Pumpkin Patch. Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m.,  Sunday 12 p.m.-6 p.m. 1222 Hwy 11 East Winnsboro Tx 
  • October 13: Chamber of Commerce spooky business after hours- October 13 starting 4:30 p.m. at Clarion Pointe hotel. Free food and drinks, bring your spookiest self!
  • October 15: Fall festival parade- a Hopkins County tradition! Starts at 10 a.m. at Buford Park and winds its way to Brookshires grocery store. 10 am.- 11 a.m. Floats, candy and grandeur 
  • October 15: Pumpkin patch at Central Baptist Church. Perfect place to go after the Fall Festival parade, it’s right next door! 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. 840 Connally Street 
  • October 15: Help-a-child benefit at Hopkins County Civic Center, all day. Benefits go to local families in need! Cook out, raffle auction and more 
  • October 15-22: Fall festival carnival at Hopkins County Civic Center. 
  • October 15-22: Sulphur Springs Public Library Halloween costume swap. Drop off costumes until October 15, early bird pickup October 17 & 18, regular pickup October 19-22. Reduce, reuse and recycle your kids costumes! 
  • October 15: Spooky night at the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum. Games, prizes, snacks and play. $10 a person for advance tickets, call 903-886-6055
  • October 16: Sulphur Bluff fall carnival, 5:30-7 p.m. 
  • October 23: Lake Fork Trunk or Treat, 5 p.m.- 7 p.m., 9384 W FM 515, Alba
  • October 24- 29: Outdoor horror movies at VR Social (317 Spring Street) all movies start at 6 p.m. 
  • October 24: Wesley House Assisted Living Trunk or Treat, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. 1044 Church Street
  • October 29: Zombie walk from 317 Spring Street to the square, 6:30 p.m. Come dressed in costume- one of Sulphur Springs’ scariest events!  
  • October 27: Sunny Springs Nursing and Rehab fall carnival, all ages welcome. 6 p.m.- 8 p.m., costume contest, snacks and games. 1200 N. Jackson Street, Sulphur Springs
  • October 28: NHISD fall carnival, 5 p.m.- 7 p.m. in the elementary school parking lot (weather providing). Games, face painting, snow cones, photo booth, cotton candy and more! 
  • October 28: Saltillo fall carnival, 5:30- 7p.m. Saltillo school 
  • October 29: Lake Highland Baptist Church Fall’o’ween. Trunk or treat and fall carnival, hot dogs, nachos, sno cones and more. 1500 College Street, 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. 
  • October 29: Yantis Fall Farm Festival, 10:30 a.m. Stable View Cottages 4250 TX-154, Yantis, TX
  • October 29: Lone Oak Festival, 2 p.m.- 10 p.m., Lone Oak Town Square
  • October 29: Sulphur Springs Country Club Trunk or Treat, 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m., 511 Country Club Road, $15/ child
  • October 31: Trick or Treat at Westbrook circle. Candy, professional photos, and special guest Princess Sue Linda the cow. 909 Westbrook circle, 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. 
  • October 31: Treat street at Central Baptist Church. Trunk or treat event that over 1000 people attend! 840 Connally Street, 6 p.m. 
  • October 31: First Baptist Church Trunk-or-Treat 116 Oak Avenue (ball field) 6 p.m.- 8 p.m.
  • October 31: City of Sulphur Springs trick or treat
  • October 31: Fulgham’s Trick or Treat candy shop, 6 p.m.- 8p.m. 1123 Broadway Street Suite C
  • October 31: Church of the Nazarene Trunk or Treat, 6 p.m.- 8 p.m., 1300 League Street
