The Sulphur Springs Wildcats have gotten off to a great start this year, winning nine of their first 11 games. Monday they were recognized for their strong play this season, by making their first appearance in the TABC rankings this year.
The Wildcats debut at No. 21 in the rankings this year, coming right behind No. 20 Frisco Liberty who they lost to Saturday, by a final score of 70-57. Their only other loss this season came Thursday to Atascocita who is ranked No. 6 in 6A.

Sulphur Springs will look to keep their momentum going tonight, with a game against the 8-0 Royse City Bulldogs, a team they are very familiar with. The Wildcats have faced Royse City at least once in each of the last five seasons.
The Bulldogs will be another great test for Sulphur Springs, as earlier this season they took down Mount Pleasant on the road by a final score of 62-56. Mount Pleasant was the preseason pick to win District 15-5A, with Sulphur Springs picked to finish in second place.
Tuesday’s game is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. in Sulphur Springs. Coverage of the game will be published on Front Porch News.
