Heating up a little more Thursday with temps in the 90s areawide, despite cloud cover lingering through the early afternoon hours for some. Combined with a tropical-like airmass in place and resulting humidity means heat index values will see be around 100 degrees for most areas. Young and Stephens counties will see readings around 105 degree, where a heat advisory is in effect. South winds 10 to 15 mph and occasionally gusty will provide little relief for those outdoors. Everyone should take precautions to limit exposure and reduce the risk of heat exhaustion.
