Funeral service for James Goggans, age 16, of Sulphur Springs, Tx, will be held at 2:00p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Lantz and Jason Dietze officiating.Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Jack Bain, Shane Hinton, Bridger Mayhew, Jonah Foster, Phoenix Capobianco, Alex Cooper, Clancy Mayo, and Aubrey Williams serving as pallbearers.  Uncles Jon Drago, Joe Drago, and Wes Goggans are serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Tuesday at First United Methodist Church. James passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021.

James was born on January 1, 2005, in Kingsville, Tx, to Brandon and Sarah (Drago) Goggans. He was a student at Sulphur Springs High School where he was a member of the S.S.H.S Band, Business Professionals of America, the Student Council and Class of 2023. James was one of the top students in his class. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his parents, sister Caroline Goggans, grandmothers Pat Goggans and Diane Drago, uncles  Joe Drago and Heather, Jon Drago and wife, Jenni, and Wes Goggans and wife, Tracy; cousins Bailey Goggans, Graham Goggans, Garrett Goggans, Emma Drago, Sophie Drago, Gabby Drago, Renee and Donovan Gini and Lance Gardiner.

James was preceded in death by his grandfathers Jim Goggans and The Honorable Joe Drago III.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the James Goggans Memorial Scholarship at Guaranty Bank and Trust in Sulphur Springs, Tx.
