Funeral Services for Kenneth Ray Jenkins, age 88, of Brashear will be held at 10am on Monday, January 4, 2021 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ron Jenkins officiating.  Military Graveside honors with the Hopkins County Military Coalition will follow at Reilly Springs Cemetery with Andy Smith, Jarrod Ham, Manuel Jenkins, Lanny Jenkins, Kevin Jenkins, and Ricky Venable serving as pallbearers.  A come and go visitation will be from 8-10am prior to the service.  Kenneth passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Christus Mother Francis Hospital in Sulphur Springs.  Kenneth was born on August 21, 1932 in Reilly Springs to T.O and Bertha McDonald Jenkins.  He married Joyce Thompson on August 3, 1957 in Blue Ridge, Texas.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and was also a Mason.  Kenneth drove a truck for Southwestern Transportation and upon retirement he obtained his real estate broker license.  He attended Brashear Baptist Church.  He is survived by his daughter, Sandy Buster; Granddaughters Lindsey Ham and husband Jarrod Ham and Kimberly Smith and husband Andy Smith; Great Grandchildren Jaxson and Jacob Ham and Sierra, Presley, and Drew Smith; and sister, Jo Ann Venable.  Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, parents, two sons, Kenneth Ray Jenkins Jr. and Steven Glenn Jenkins, four brothers, Donald Jenkins, Jimmy D. Jenkins, Dale Jenkins, and Billy Jenkins, and sister, Christine Jennings.
