A 33 year old man was arrested by DPS yesterday on I-30 after marijuana and a pistol were discovered during the search of the vehicle. The DPS Trooper later found a bag of marijuana in his patrol unit that the man tried to hide after being arrested.

Courtney Lamont Webster of Indianapolis, Indiana was pulled over for speeding at 130 mile marker while traveling westbound on Tuesday morning. Troopers requested to search the vehicle after Webster and his passenger gave conflicting information regarding their travel.

Webster denied the search request and a K9 was called to the scene. The K9 alerted on the vehicle and a probable cause search was conducted.

The search uncovered marijuana and a pistol. Webster was placed into custody and transported to Hopkins County Jail.

After the arrest and transport, the DPS trooper found a bag of marijuana in his vehicle. The camera footage from inside the patrol unit captured Webster attempting to hide the marijuana in-between the driver seat and console.

Webster is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of Marijuana, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
