Funeral service for Charles Sharber, age 81, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating.  Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Mr. Sharber passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital, Tyler.

Charles was born on October 11, 1938 to Hal and Agnes Sharber.  Charles married Sherry Marrs on December 17th, 1966.  They were married for almost 54 years.  Charles served in the Texas National Guard.  He worked for 31 years as a Forklift Operator for AP Green Factory.  Charles was a member of First Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs.  He loved to golf, fish, garden and be with family.  He loved to eat ice cream and go places for the free food. He loved taking his granddaughters & grandson to get snocones and picking and shelling pecans with them on the bed of his truck. Charles was loved by all who knew him.  His nickname was “Smiley”, as he was always smiling.  Charles is going to be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry; daughters, Shelly Wiser and husband, Kelly, Carrie Beth Cooper; grandson, Jacob Charles Cooper; granddaughters, Dichele Smith and husband, Clay, Maci Castro and husband, Junior, Keelie Lee and husband, John, Molly Kate Wiser, Caitlin Van Dieden and husband, Niels; ten great grandchildren; sisters, Vera Wooten, Linda Neal and June Brumley; brother, Harold Sharber.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sue Stewart; brothers, Joe Sharber, Bill Sharber and Paul Sharber.

Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
