Daily Devotional from The Way Bible Church for January 4th, 2020

You’ve heard the expression, ‘Knowledge is power’. This statement, while not necessarily being rooted in Scripture, bears a lot truth. You see, in order for you to be able to have faith to receive something from the Lord you must first resolve in your heart whether or not it is His will. You cannot call yourself a Christian and want to go against His will. Therefore, to have the power to receive something by faith, you must first establish whether or not what you’re believing for is what He wants for you. Faith begins where the will of God is known. God and His Word are one and the same. When He speaks, whether it be through revealing His written Word or by speaking something directly into your spirit, it’s for the purpose of strengthening your faith. When you know what His will is, only then you can believe to receive it. He wants to empower you with a Word that will not just sustain you, but propel you into a greater revelation of your Salvation. When He speaks, He isn’t just trying to tell you what to do, He’s revealing His will to you for the purpose of you experiencing more of the Salvation that He came, died, and rose again for you to receive. Faith comes by hearing and you are saved by your faith. So it goes without saying that when hearing stops, faith stops, keeping from further experiencing His Salvation. This is not to say that you will ‘lose your salvation’ but your Salvation can only be as strong as the amount of revelation knowledge you receive from the Spirit of God. Refuse to become weak and powerless as a believer. Seek His voice, stay in His Word, and let revelation knowledge empower you to walk in a greater levels of Salvation than you could have ever imagined. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff.
