Lafayette Franklin, age 54, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Christus Mother Francis in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Lafayette was born in Dallas, Texas, on August 12, 1969 to Zeke and Hattie (Fry) Franklin. He faithfully attended the Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs, Texas and loved cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Lafayette is survived by his daughter, Joanna Fletcher; brother, Billy Franklin; sister in love, Jane Matthews; aunt, Helen Powell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Zeke and Hattie (Fry) Franklin; brothers, Willie Ray Franklin and Robert Franklin; and sister, Brenda Joyce Franklin.
