Obituary for Alice Casey
Memorial service for Marie Casey, age 84 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday. August 21, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Mike Powell officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Mrs. Casey passed away on August 14, 2023 at her residence.
Marie was born on January 27, 1939 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to James Henry “Shorty” and Frances (Nordin) Britton. She married Bobby Gene Casey on October 12, 1963. Marie worked as a bookkeeper and office manager.
She is survived by her daughters, Nina Belcher, Donna Hudson, and Melissa Skierski; son, Troy Casey; grandchildren, Mary Phillips, Dottie Tapley, Troy Dale, Casey Cassady, Chase Hudson, Brandon Hudson, Carissa Casey, Leif Skierski and Zach Skierski; sisters, Martha Person and Pat Vaughan and husband, Jacky Cupit; brother, Charles Britton and wife, Joy; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby and sister, Betty Sue Britton Clark.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
