Funeral service for Kelly (Ward) Carrington, age 59 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 10:00A.M. on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Bruce Reeves officiating and Noel Bailey, Terry Slack, and Leon Goff assisting. Interment will follow at Camp Shed Cemetery in Cooper, Texas with Tony Pope, Derik Moore, Brad Floyd, George Robinson, Chris Graves, Charles Martin, Mitchell Pope, Bailey Floyd, Jack Floyd and Denzel Clark serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Carrington passed away on February 15, 2023 at her residence.

 

Kelly was born on January 7, 1964 in Grandview, Mo at the Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base to Robert Larry and Barbara (Riley) Ward. She married Shane Carrington on January 2, 1988 in Greenville, Texas. Kelly worked as a supervising laboratory scientist for over 30 years. She loved working with pediatrics. Kelly enjoyed her hobbies, such as traveling, reading and sewing, and being with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted member of the Southside Church of Christ.

 

She is survived by her husband, Shane; daughters, Rachel Robinson and husband, George, Hannah Graves and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Ruby, Truett and Dale Robinson; parents, Larry and Barbara Ward; sisters, Karren (Ward) Pope and husband, Tony, Karla (Ward) Moore and husband, Derik; in-laws, Ted and Judy Carrington; sister-in-law, Robin Floyd and husband, Brad; nieces and nephews, Mitchell Pope, Rebecca Pope, Kennedy Moore, Alexa Moore, Emily Floyd, Bailey Floyd and Jack Floyd; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved family members.
