Bright Stars Scholarship Recipient – Mariam Tran
It is hard to find enough words sometimes to describe how special it is for us to be a part of the John and Deborah Gillis Foundation in the way that we are. Getting to travel to each of these students and hear their stories is at times, overwhelming. For me (Chad) this one hits super close to home. For years this young lady and my daughter and son went to school together at Water Oak Elementary School, K-5th, and the memories I have of watching her grow up are priceless. She is without a doubt one of the smartest and kindest young people you will ever meet. Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to introduce you to Mariam Tran. Enjoy this young lady’s story, she is making everyone so proud.
