Sulphur Springs Lady Cats

The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats finish their season with a record of 21-1-2 and find themselves ranked No. 7 in the 5A poll. The Lady Cats had an excellent regular season and hope to carry off the postseason success they had a year ago, after a historic run in which they went four rounds deep.

Sulphur Springs went undefeated in district play and secured their fourth consecutive district championship. This season the Lady Cats scored 125 runs while allowing just 23, allowing less than one run per game.

Crimson Bryant, the team’s ace, ate a majority of the teams innings this season. Over 134 innings of work this year she allowed just nine earned runs, giving her an ERA of 0.67 during the regular season.

Sulphur Springs begins their postseason run with a best-of-three against Whitehouse. Game one of the series is set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at home, with game two set for 7 p.m. Friday in Whitehouse. Game three, if needed will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Sulphur Springs.
