Memorial services for Marigene Foster Scarborough, age 68, of Yantis will

be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the First Baptist

Church in Yantis, TX with Bro. Shannon Hassell officiating. Visitation will

be held one hour prior to service at First Baptist Church in Yantis.

Marigene passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 in Tyler, TX at The Hospice

of East Texas. Marigene was born January 11, 1949 in Paris, TX, the

daughter of Arlis Foster and Neta Burk Foster. She married Ben Scarborough

June 24, 1988 in Hot Springs, AR and he survives. Marigene worked as a

medical coder at Hopkins County Hospital for seven years and at McCuistion

Hospital in Paris, TX for over two years. In addition to her husband, she

is survived by brothers Bill Ausmus of Idabel and Burk Foster of Lake

Livingston, her son, Joel Dean Smith of Yantis, TX, step-son Gregory Neill

Scarborough of Kempner, TX, and step-daughter Rebecca Jane Hooten of

Copperas Cove, TX, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many

nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, James

Randall Smith, and infant daughter Vanessa Leigh Smith. Memorials may be

made to First Baptist Church of Yantis. Arrangements are under the
