Whimsy, the new wine bar on the square in Sulphur Springs, is scheduled to open on August 13th. Whimsy took over the former Chamber of Commerce building at 300 Connally Street. Co-owner Karen Riddle told us that Whimsy will feature wine, craft beer, and a menu of fresh-never frozen food.
Whimsy converted the Chamber of Commerce’s former storage into the bar area with inside seating. The parking spaces have been converted into a patio dining area with stone that matches the brick roads and masonry around Celebration Plaza. The office building has been converted into a gift shop with purses, jewelry, home accessories, designer candles and more.
