Obituary for Michael “Mike” Keith Garner
Funeral service for Michael “Mike” Keith Garner, age 57, of Emory, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Paul Pogue officiating. Interment will follow at Brashear Cemetery with Justin Garner, Jeremy Garner, Jagger Garner, Jim Womack, Tony Garner and Jacky Garner serving as pallbearers and Brian Pennington, Kholson Ivey, and Jerry Womack serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday September 17, 2026, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mike Garner was born on August 1, 1969, to Gerald Garner and Carol Ann Boatright. He passed on September 10, 2026, and was welcomed home by his brother Brad Garner, mother Carol Ann Ivey, his dad Ken Ivey, and his stepbrother Kenny Ivey. Mike was a hardworking and very kind man. He worked as a machinist programmer for many years of his life, and he was very proud of what he did. Mike loved to race in dirt track cars in his younger days, watch his son Justin race drift cars, and go to his son Jagger’s rock concerts. Overall spending time with his children and grandchildren was when he was the happiest, and also when he could have a cold beer. He always had a smile to share with everyone around him.
Mr. Garner is survived by his father Gerald Garner, his mom Corlette Garner, his son Justin and daughter-in-law Lalainia Garner, his daughter Braylee Garner, his son Jagger and daughter-in-law Zoei Garner, and his two grandchildren Geronimo Garner and Shiloh Garner. His stepsister Terri and husband Jimmy Fagg, stepbrother Jerry and wife Cherrie Womack and stepbrother Jim and wife Sharon Womack. His nieces Chelsea Garner, Kaitlyn, Kenzie, and Kaycee Ivey, and nephews Jeremy Garner and Kohlsen Ivey.
