Obituary for Stan Lutter

Visitation for Stan Lutter, age 79, of Yantis, Texas, will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Lutter passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026.
Stanley Lutter was born January 9, 1947, to his parents, Robert and Evelyn Lutter, who preceded him in death. Stan proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of sergeant (SGT). He served honorably from October 27, 1965, until March 16, 1969. Following his military service, he dedicated more than thirty-seven years to Southwest Airlines as an aircraft mechanic. Throughout his career, Stan was recognized with numerous awards and accolades for his dedication, skill, and commitment to excellence. Known as a man who could fix or build just about anything, Stan truly was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed spending time fishing, woodworking, gardening, working on mechanics, and building projects. Whether creating something with his own hands or sharing his knowledge with others, Stan took great pride in his work and the hobbies he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Yvette Lutter; children, Valerie and Jimmy Garcia of Anna, Texas, Todd and Maria Lutter of Kaiserslautern, Germany, Jessica and George Dudley of Brownwood, Texas, Deena Lutter of Mabank, Texas; stepsons, Gaylon Bacy of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Gabe Bacy of Cooper, Texas; siblings, Bob Lutter of Hartford, South Dakota, Sharon Lutter of Appleton, Wisconsin, Bill and Pam Lutter of Roman, South Dakota; sixteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
