Jerry Kennedy, age 83, of Yantis, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

Jerry Kennedy was born on March 17, 1943, in Louisiana, to the late Benny and Frances Kennedy. He married the love of his life, the late Linda Kennedy, in 1968. They shared fifty-eight years of marriage until her passing in June 2025. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Thailand, where he served as an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic, a role that reflected his exceptional mechanical skill and dedication. Following his military service, Jerry devoted 38 years of his career to Texstars Inc. His strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment earned the respect of those who worked alongside him. Outside of work, Jerry found great enjoyment in fishing and was an avid gun collector. He treasured time spent pursuing his hobbies and appreciated the simple pleasures they brought throughout his life.

Jerry is survived by his sons, Jerry Kennedy, and wife Heidi, Paul Kennedy; granddaughter, Chole Barton; brother, Harvey Kennedy; sisters, Frankie and Suzie, and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and relatives.
