Obituary for Kathy Hernandez

The funeral service for Kathy Hernandez, age 65, of Dike, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on
Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Fernando Augilar officiating.
Interment will follow at Sulphur Bluff Cemetery with Jose Luis Ramos, Jimmy Granados, Blake
Brown, Christian Gonzalez, Landon Morroquin, and Hugo Hernandez serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Kathy Hernandez was born in Mexico on December 21, 1960, to Francisco Hernandez and Blanca
Hernandez Castillo. She passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was married to Jose Luis Ramos and built a life centered on love, family, and hard work.
Mrs. Hernandez worked for Cross Timber Ranch in Dike, Texas, for 40 years before becoming a
homemaker and dedicating herself to caring for her family.
Kathy had a love for travel and adventure. She especially loved going on Carnival cruises and spending
time at the beach whenever she had the chance. Those moments brought her great joy and created
many treasured memories with her family and friends.
Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her children: Jimmy Granados, Nancy Granados, and Hugo
Hernandez, all of Dike, Texas. She is also survived by her sister, Petra Rascon of Mexico; her brothers,
Carlos Hernandez, Rigo Hernandez, Dago Hernandez, and Hugo Hernandez, all of Mexico; and her
cherished grandchildren, Christian Gonzalez and Landon Marroquin.
Kathy’s kindness, strength, and devotion to her family will forever be remembered by all who knew and
loved her. Though she is gone from our sight, she will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved
her.
