Visitation for Christopher “Red” Burkett, age 27, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Burkett passed away in Bullard, Texas, on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

 

Christopher Burkett was born on February 7, 1999, in Beaumont, Texas, to Jeremy and the late Cynthia (Warner) Burkett. Red had a passion for motorcycles and could often be found riding or working on them. He also enjoyed playing pool and spending time doing the things he loved. Above all, Red deeply loved his nieces and nephews, who held a special place in his heart. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, his passions, and the love he shared with his family. Red had a heart of gold and would be there for anyone who needed him. He lit up every room he ever entered and always made you laugh. He was loved more than he ever knew and will be missed more than words can say.

 

Red is survived by his dad, Jeremy Burkett of Sulphur Springs, Texas; stepmother, Shannon Burkett of Sulphur Springs, Texas; stepmother, Christina Chambliss of Sulphur Springs, Texas; sister, Destiny Burkett Gisclar, and husband Christian of Orange, Texas; stepsisters, Christina Hampton, and husband Cody of Cooper, Texas, Ciara Chambliss; stepbrothers, Michael Clark, and wife Summer of Yantis, Texas, Jared Chambliss, and wife Tommie, Jacob Chambliss, and wife Brittany, Johnathon Chambliss, Alex George; uncle, Josh Shannon; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother.

 

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
