Obituary for Johnnie Martin
Johnnie Rex Martin, age 89, of Coke TX., passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Rock
Creek Health and Rehab. Family-led memorial service is at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at
Rockhill Baptist Church in Quitman, TX.
Johnnie was born on June 7, 1936 in Leesburg TX., to Fletcher and Emma (Gibson) Martin. He
married Lyndia G. Langford on September 5, 1975 in Tyler TX. Johnnie was a member of the
Rockhill Baptist Church and retired as a tool pusher and consultant.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lyndia Martin of Coke TX., his sons; Mark Martin
(Deann) of Pritchet TX., and Jamie Martin of Pittsburg TX., daughters; Ronda Dyer of Troup TX.,
and Tonya Carden (Robert) of Pickton TX., as well as 15 Grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 4
great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher Emma Martin, his son, Steve Miller, as well as 7
sisters, and 2 brothers.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made in Johnnie’s name to Rockhill Baptist
Church at 3543 FM 2966, Quitman, TX 75783.
