Obituary for Bobbie Nell Gay (Thomas)
Graveside service for Bobbie Nell Gay (Thomas) age 86 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at
11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Birch Creek. Yusef
Logan, Zayd Logan, Ibrihiam Logan, and Ron Wilson Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearers. There will
be no formal visitation. Mrs. Gay passed away on December 24, 2025 at Christus Mother Frances –
Sulphur Springs.
Bobbie was born on August 5, 1939 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Scott and Pearline Thomas. She
married John Curry Gay on December 20, 1959 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. They were married for 66
years. Bobbie was a retired heart pattern monitor tech at the hospital.
She is survived by her husband, John Sr.; son, John Gay Jr.; daughters, Demerica Logan, Faith Wilson,
and Kimberly Michelle Gay; grandchildren, Yusef Logan, Ibrahiam Logan, Zayd Logan, Ronald
Wilson Jr., Kayla Jones and Yahira Logan; great grandchildren, Yazmine Logan, Aiden Logan, Alijah
Logan and Ali Logan; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Joe Thomas, Julia Douglas, and Doris Lynn Gay; brother in-law, Robert Douglas; cousin, Billye Lewis; nieces’ and nephews, Eledria Gay, Dee Dee Thomas,
Jonathan Thomas, Natalye Thomas and Yolanda Thomas.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Scott and Pearline Thomas; brothers, Scott Thomas Jr.
and Billy Joe Thomas; niece, Cynthia Thomas.
