North East Texas Choral Society New Semester
The North East Texas Choral Society will present Anthem for America! at their spring concert in May. It will be a celebration of the Semiquincentennial or 250th birthday of America.
They would love to have new singers, current singers and former singers join them for this great concert celebration.
Current Singers and former singers may stop by St. Phillip’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, January 10 from 10 until 12 to pick up music and pay their semester participation fee.
Interested in being a new singer? Auditions with director Carol Allen will be held Saturday morning from 10 to 12 at St. Phillips. It is a quick and easy process that shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes.
The first rehearsal for the semester is Monday, January 12 at 7 pm. Singers need to arrive early if they haven’t picked up their new music packet and paid their $45 semester fee.
What are the expectations of a Choral Society singer? Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7 to 9 pm. Singers are committed to the May 1-3 weekend for final rehearsal, Saturday concert and Sunday concert.
A fee of $35 is paid each semester for NETCS expenses and supplies. Attire for the concert will need to be purchased.
Scholarships are available for both the fee and concert wear if needed.
The NETCS hopes you will join them in this great concert season!
