Family gathering with visitation for Martha Sprague, age 92, will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on
Saturday, December 13, 2025, at League Street Church of Christ. Interment will be held at a later date
at Sanger Cemetery. Mrs. Sprague passed away at Carriage House Manor in Sulphur Springs, Texas on
Thursday, December 11, 2025.
Martha Sprague was born on June 24, 1933, to Merriell Fesington and Fannie Blanche (Williams) Bell
in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She married Delbert Sprague on June 12, 1953, in Carrollton, Texas. She
worked as an executive secretary for Halliburton and in her free time was known to be an avid quilter.
Martha is survived by her daughters, Traci Holland and her husband, Horace of Sulphur Springs,
Texas, and Amy Bixby of Lewisville, Texas; sister, Mary Dugan of Enterprise, Alabama; sisters-in-law,
Bettye Bell of Waco, Texas, Pam Bell of Farmers Branch, Texas, and Barbara Williams of Houston,
Texas; and numerous loved nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Sprague; parents, Merriell and Blanche Bell; and
brothers, Tom Bell and James Bell.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
