Graveside service for Russell “Rusty” Garmon, age 50 of Winnsboro, Texas will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Greenwood Cemetery with Bro. Bryan Crittendon and Bro. Raif Turner officiating. Chad Knotts, Garrett Sustaire, Gary Mobley, Randy Mobley, Mason Littrell, and Billy Huie will serve as pallbearers. Dennis Wisdom, Ronnie Green, Edgar Calderon, and Justin Arter will serve as honorary pallbearers. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. Garmon passed away on December 6, 2025 at Christus Mother Frances – Sulphur Springs.

 

Rusty was born on September 4, 1975 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Kenny and Nelda (Sustaire) Garmon. He worked as a ranch hand and electrician helper. Rusty attended Greenwood Baptist church when he was able.

 

He is survived by his mother, Nelda; father, Kenny; sister, Angie Pipkin and husband, Patrick; brothers, Ryan Garmon and wife, Cassie and Jaylon Garmon; bonus kids, Ryan Prewitt and Luke Saxon; nieces, Maysen and Kenzi Pipkin; nephews, Nate and Eli Garmon.

 

Rusty was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Elaine Garmon, and Pat and Peggy Sustaire; great grandparents, Russell and Ola Garmon, Champ and Edith Marable, Willis and Christene Brewer, and Roy and Lela Sustaire; great-great grandparents, Guthrie and Viola Davis.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
