Foundation Board Announces Gala Marquee Sponsor
  • PublishedOctober 20, 2025

Sulphur Springs, TX – The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation is preparing to celebrate its 20th Gala on January 24, 2026. Though the Gala is known for being a fun evening celebrating community, healthcare, and all the good things that make Hopkins County unique, it is also an especially important fundraiser for our community.

Without the support of donors and participants, the success of the past 19 years would not have been possible.

For the third year in a row, Signature Solar will be a marquee sponsor of the event. The Foundation Board of Directors is very appreciative of James Showalter and his team who believe in the mission of the Foundation and recognize the need for top-notch local healthcare.

Kenny Rogers, who serves both as an executive with Energy Access Innovations (the parent company of Signature Solar) and as a Foundation Board member, shares why healthcare is so important for their company. “As we have continued to grow and hire team members from Hopkins County as well as all over the country, we understand that convenient access to great healthcare and emergency medical care are basic offerings our team members and their families need. We are happy to be able to support the Gala and the healthcare projects it funds for our community.”

The 2026 Gala will fund $250,000 for new medical equipment needed in the surgical wing expansion at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs. Any additional funds raised will also be invested in local healthcare through educational programs, free clinics, and other Foundation projects that benefit Hopkins County.

Foundation Board Chairperson Pam Black expressed appreciation for this gift, “We are so thankful for the support Signature Solar has shared with the Gala this year and in the past. This sponsorship gets us closer to meeting our commitment to CMF-SS. If you have ever had a

medical emergency or need, you know how important access to a local hospital and EMS is for each of us. The Foundation raises funds to make sure this access remains available.”

The 2026 Gala theme is A Celebration of Twenty Years. Invitations have recently been mailed, and more information is also available at Gala2026.GiveSmart.com.

The Foundation is an IRS 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1997 by a group of local visionary citizens.
