Barbara Jeanette (Allen) Romack, devoted mother, grandmother, and wife passed from this life on October 14, 2025. Born in Hopkins County, Texas on December 6, 1940, to Howard Allen and Hazel Nichols Allen, she was raised under the watchful eye and loving care of her grandparents, Melvin, and Viola Nichols. Barbara attended Pickton High School, where she excelled both academically and athletically. After receiving her degree from East Texas State University, Barbara began her professional career serving as the highly respected Director of Medical Records for Hopkins County Memorial and Presbyterian Hospital of Winnsboro before retiring.

Barbara married Hal Romack with whom she raised two sons, Greg, and Jeff. They were the proud owners of Romack Supply Company in Winnsboro, Texas for many years. She and Hal loved traveling together, exploring the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Mexico. As long as their health permitted, Barbara and Hal were faithful members of Caney Baptist Church in Pickton, Texas.

She also loved jewelry and had a keen eye for vintage collectibles. Her collections of Murano glass and Lady Head vases were unmatched, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and extended family. For many years, Barbara and Hal opened their home to host a Thanksgiving Brunch for family and friends.

Proceeded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Michael Ezell. She is survived by her two loving children, Greg Romack of Sulphur Springs and Jeff Romack and wife Kelly of Heath, Texas.
