Obituary for Marcos Nicolas Rocha
Funeral Service for Marcos Nicolas Rocha, age 59, of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at St. James Catholic Church with Father John Gomez officiating. Marco Rocha, Benjamin Rocha, Sr., Ricardo Rocha, Angel Rocha, Benjamin Rocha, Jr., and Jairo Nunez will be serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel. Marcos passed away on October 6, 2025, in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Marcos was born on June 8, 1966, to Nicolas Rocha Olivares and Isabel Olarte Hernandez in Agua Dulce Veracruz, Mexico. He married Gerarda Perez Juarez in 1992 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Marcos worked for 12 years in the dairy business with the Frances Pogue family, from there he worked for many years as Team Leader at Clayton Homes. He was an avid fan and soccer player, enjoyed fishing, working his cows, he could build anything. Marcos adored spending time with his family, watching movies, listening to music and he was a grill master weather it was smoking ribs, brisket, or carne asada he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gerarda Rocha; son, Marco Antonio Rocha; daughters, Dulce Rocha, and Jesus Macias, Mary Nunez and Jairo Nunez; brothers, Ricardo Rocha and Leonor, Benjamin Rocha and Marlen, Isarel Rocha and Irasema, and Nicolas Rocha and Aide; grandchildren, Natalya Allen, Jaden Allen, Nolan Macias, Lilan Macias, Amarylis Nunez, Aaron Nunez, Aldo Nunez, Jael Marcos Rocha, and Ellie Nicole Rocha. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
