Sulphur Spring Jetski Racer, Andrew Vo, Competes Across Asia!
  • PublishedSeptember 16, 2025

Hainan, China – This past weekend, Jettribe proudly spotlighted our young international racer, Andrew Vo, as he continued his incredible journey across Asia. After traveling from Dallas, Texas, to Seattle, Washington, then Taiwan and Thailand for the final round of the Thai Pro Tour, Andrew was honored to be invited by China Yamaha to compete in the 20-and-under four-stroke light ski class at the Hainan event.
It has been near a decade since Jettribe has sent riders to China, and we were humbled by the warm reception from both the organizers and our fellow athletes. For the very first time, we met our Jettribe China factory team face to face – a professional, passionate, and truly welcoming group who treated us like family.
The race site, located on the stunning island of Hainan, was a tropical paradise with white sandy beaches and an expansive ocean course. Due to a powerful monsoon, racing was delayed until Sunday, leaving Andrew with only one moto to prove himself. Despite rough 3–4 foot waves and immense pressure racing in front of his new teammates, potential sponsors, spectators, and scholarship opportunities, Andrew pushed through hard. At the start, Andrew was trailing in fourth place, but he fought his way up to second on the last quarter lap, only missing first place by 10 to 15 feet at the checkered flag.
This experience was about more than racing – it was about building friendships, forming bonds, and becoming part of the extended Jettribe family across the world. We entered China as competitors and left with new brothers and sisters in racing.
We look forward to the next round in Qingdao!

A huge thank you to the race organizers, China Yamaha, and our Jettribe China team for their incredible hospitality and support.
